Reflection

Why I'm supporting "Feminism"
           
               From studying in class, I have learn about social which the topics are culture, feminism, human rights, critical thinking, society, sociology, and etc.. All of topics that have learned are very important in our life but for me the topic that affect me a lot is "feminism" because from my observation, the opportunities of women are less than men even there are a lot of women campaign. For example, men in country side or in the city are still bully women as show in the television. In Tv drama also show the character of men that bully his wife. This are the reflection of Thai society that should be changed. For me, feminism is not taking advantages from men but it's an opportunity  for women to reach an equality in society.

 An introduction of myself on my passion, professional interests, and dreams.

             My name is Purisa or you can call me Opal. I'm a sephomore in interior architecture department at KMUTT who want to make our society realize that their are women rights in this world. I know that it's hard to change the thinks of people in societies but if we don't do any thing, it's might be worst so i have an idea about put the ideas of women rights to children or do some TV drama that  reflect women rights. If I can do it, my dream and my passion will be complete and i thinks societies will be more living and peaceful.
           


Reflection from class    

              I have learnt about many things in society, the topics that are memorable are feminism that i describe above. I like the way of guest's teaching, playing games, understand more about feminism, and i also get the main ideas of feminism from this class.  Second is human rights. How can we live in this society without any rights?. This class teach me about the importance right that included in our daily life. From this class, I have known about rights that some group of people still missing, Refugees, importance rights and how their life is going through playing role play. The last topic is culture. I love to learn about culture in every countries because in every countries have their own beautiful and unique culture by itself. I know that in every culture have both side, good or bad, but when it combine into one culture, it produce the magnificent by itself.

From me and my friend real experience 
           
              All of my mention above are related to equality in our society. In our society, there are a lot of problem, one of them is inequality. From past, women have to take care or be maid at home. Men can do everything to women but women can not do anything to men except take care them. However, nowadays most  people are changed their mind but just groups of people because i still meet groups of men do inequality to women. It affects to my life a lot because of i'm a girl. when i'm playing game the boys in game always blame at me. They say that girls are not good at playing game. This is an inequality that boys give it to girls. They can not say bad word to every girls in the world. I also meet a guy who not respect me. I'm not comfortable with his touching me but when I told him, he said it's normal to touch so this is a kind of inequality in our world because i believe that most girls in the world should meet guys like this. This experience make me feel bad about how boys think or do like that to girls. So, the way to solve this problem i already mention above.

About my ideas to solve this problem
         
             To help women get an opportunity, i want to change men mind about women rights, behaviour on women by putting the course about feminism to young children so that they can grow up and learn at the same time. We will stop every kind of supporting, men bully women, on television and keep talking about this topic and have more campaign which show on television and internet so that people will know what we have done. However, this kind of resolving problem are taking time to show the result because there are a lot of adult people which used to old thinking about behaviour on women. If we are continuously working on this problem, i hope that the future will be changed in good way.

 Michelle Obama taught us who to select as a role model of our life and why. Her speech was not only for the election campaign but also to raise the women rights around the world.

FEMINISM Nowadays, the gender inequality is one of the most problems that many people are concern. The gender inequality including men, women, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT). In Thailand, many people thought about the concept of being men or women such as being a woman must do house chore while being a man must do job to earn the l iving for their family. My perspective to the society . In my personal believe the most suitable theory for observing society is functionalism. Because functionalism holds that society is a complex system whose various parts work together to produce stability, equilibrium and solidarity [1] .
